Annual Review Conference of the Inclusion Project

VNHIP’s representatives attended the 2022 annual review conference of the Inclusion Project in Vinh Phuc province. The conference had representatives from our sponsor, USAID; the project owner agency, NACCET, under the Vietnam Ministry of National Defense; nearly 20 project implementation organizations; and leaders from 8 project provinces. In the past year, VNHIP has achieved many achievements by supporting nearly 400 people with disabilities in Quang Nam province in rehabilitation and home care.

National Action Month on HIV/AIDS

In 2022, responding to National Action Month on HIV/AIDS with the theme “Stop AIDS – Youth is ready”, VNHIP launched a meeting and parade to raise the community’s awareness of HIV prevention in Dai Loc district, Quang Nam province, here in Vietnam. More than 500 students, as well as various departments of the local government, got involved with this meaningful event.

HIV Screening In High Risk Groups

VNHIP collaborated with Quang Nam CDC and Phuoc Son District Health Center to conduct HIV testing for 85 people in high-risk groups. High-risk groups were defined as:

  • Spouses and children of people living with HIV
  • Sex Workers
  • People on Methadone treatment

After this screening, we identified 3 new cases of HIV-positive individuals. With the support of the local health sector, we were able to provide medication management and treatment for these individuals. VNHIP helped them gain access to the appropriate treatment, ensuring the health and safety of themselves, their loved ones, and their community.

Supporting 1,600 Children with Essential Water for Daily Life

The second group of children affected by HIV enjoys a series of twelve training units on life skill development. Thank you to Hulza Foundation for their generous support.

Bicycles for Underprivileged Children

One of the core priorities of VNHIP’s HIV in Children program is to ensure that every child stays in school. For many of these children, this is a challenge due to not having reliable transportation from limited financial resources.

With the generous support from Help for Hope, VNHIP was able to provide 10 brand new bicycles for these youth. For children who have to travel long distances for school, the gift serves as a direct investment in their education and future.

We are eternally grateful for Help for Hope for making this project possible, and we are truly proud to see these children riding towards a brighter future.

Life Skill Development for Children Effected by HIV

VNHIP implemented the training course on life skill development for children affected by HIV in Da Nang City. It is 12 interactive training modules. Each session, the children will focus on one skill or value that is important to living a successful and happy life.

Thank you to the Hulza Foundation for their donation for this meaningful project.
